Every Steel-Lite assembly is built in the USA and designed to meet stringent NFPA, ADA, and IBC requirements with documented listings and spec-grade hardware preps.

Built to Pass Inspection — The First Time

NFPA 80 Fire Door Options: Fire-rated assemblies available per project requirements (e.g., 20/45/60/90/180 minute) with UL/cUL labels; submittals provided for approval.
ADA & IBC Compliant Clearances: Hardware locations, approach/clear width, thresholds, and closer force/speed aligned to accessibility and life-safety codes.
ANSI/BHMA Grade 1 Hardware Prep: Factory preps and reinforcements for spec-grade locks, closers, hinges, and exit devices to ensure durability and compatibility.
Documented & Traceable: Shop drawings, hardware schedules, and cut sheets provided to streamline review and inspection.

Architectural Construction & Materials

Door Skins: Heavy-duty galvannealed steel (A40/A60), prime-painted for field finishing; optional factory-finished enamel coatings.
Cores:Energy-efficient polystyrene core for non-rated doors; mineral core options for fire-rated assemblies per listing.
Edges & Reinforcements: Interlocking seams with hardware backing plates for closers, hinges, and locks; hinge side reinforced for high-cycle use.
