Wall Type & Mounting (Wood Stud Wall with Veneer)

Designed for exterior wood stud framing with a veneer façade (brick, stone, stucco, or panel). Provide continuous structural backing at jambs and head (e.g., doubled king/jack studs and an engineered header). Coordinate WRB, flashing, and sealants with the façade and threshold details.

• Anchor into studs/header with structural wood fasteners or lag screws (by installer)
• Shim at manufacturer-recommended points to maintain plumb, level, and square
• Integrate sill pan or threshold flashing as part of the water management plan
• Seal perimeter with commercial-grade backer rod and sealant
• Verify smooth swing and ADA approach clearances

Anchoring fasteners into wood studs are not included, allowing installers to select the correct type, diameter, and length for the project’s stud species, sheathing thickness, and header design.
