Wall Type & Mounting (Exterior Steel Stud Wall with Veneer)

Designed for exterior steel stud framing with veneer facades (brick, stone, stucco, or architectural panels). Provide continuous backing at jambs and head (e.g., doubled or tube steel king/jack studs and an engineered header). Coordinate WRB, flashing, and sealants with the facade and threshold details.

• Anchor frame to steel studs/header using appropriate self-drilling screws into structural members or clip/plate connections per engineer-of-record (by installer)
• Shim at manufacturer-recommended points to maintain plumb, level, and square
• Integrate pan/threshold seal, end dams, and WRB flashing with the veneer system
• Seal perimeter with commercial-grade backer rod and sealant compatible with facade materials
• Verify smooth swing on both leaves, deadlock engagement on the active door, and flush bolt engagement at header/threshold on the inactive door

Anchoring fasteners for steel studs are not included, allowing the installer to select diameter and length suitable for stud gauge, sheathing thickness, and header design.
