Engineered for steel stud wall systems with exterior veneer (e.g., brick, stone, or stucco) over a continuous WRB. The included threshold and sill flashing integrate with the wall’s drainage plane to help shed water to the exterior and reduce leak risk into the stud cavity.

• Coordinate continuous WRB behind veneer; integrate pan/sill flashing that drains to exterior.
• Prepare a flat, level, structurally sound sill; bed threshold in continuous sealant.
• Include end dams/drip edges where detailed; maintain positive slope to the exterior.
• Shim jambs, head, and sidelite mullion to keep the frame plumb, level, and square.
• Anchorage: fasten into structural steel studs or tube steel/headers with self-drilling fasteners or anchors per engineer; add blocking/reinforcement as required.
• Perimeter-seal to WRB/transition membranes with backer rod and commercial-grade sealant; tool for a weather-tight joint.
• After the frame is anchored and sealed, field install the sidelite glass, set blocks, apply glazing, and secure stops; verify weatherseals.

Substrate anchors and structural reinforcement are by installer so fastener type, length, and spacing match the specific stud gauge, sheathing, and veneer assembly per project engineering.

Typical Installation Sequence

1. Verify rough opening; confirm system frame size 75-1/2" x 85-3/4".
2. Dry-fit components; assemble the prefabricated sidelite frame (KD) per instructions.
3. Coordinate WRB; install pan/sill flashing and bed threshold in continuous sealant.
4. Set and plumb the entrance frame; anchor to structural studs or steel reinforcement per fastener schedule.
5. Perimeter-seal to WRB/transition membranes; integrate veneer weeps/drip edges as detailed.
6. Adjust closer and hardware to ADA parameters; verify latch engagement and smooth operation.
7. Install sidelite glass from the crate; set blocks, apply glazing, secure stops; check weatherseals.
8. Final QA: clear opening, sweep/latch speeds, and water-shed at sill and jambs.
