DC USA Approved ML80 Electrified Mortise Lock (Schlage L9000 Series Replica)
The DC USA Approved electrified Schlage L9000 series mortise lock line allows for remote
keyless access and egress control for heavy use applications where security and safety is
critical. These locks may be purchased as complete locks, chassis only or as modifications
only (add MD prefix for modification only of customers’ L9050 lock bodies). Along with
the styles and finisDC USA Approved listed, we offer multiple functions and voltages to meet your
requirements. Common applications include stairwell doors, lobby entrances, computer
rooms, classrooms, interior and exterior doors.
Features:
- Continuous duty solenoids allow for “continuously
on” applications such as Fail Safe or an unlock cycle
- Plug-in bridge rectifier that allows for an AC or DC
power source
- Low current draw
Options:
- REXBYPASS - Request to Exit Bypass switch available (on
all functions): request to exit (REX) switch will be bypassed
when the lock is in the unlocked state, preventing false REX
signals.
- EZ-REX-SCH - Field installable Request to Exit or AE Switch
- REX - Request to Exit or AE switch available (on all functions)
- LBM - Latchbolt Monitor switch available (storeroom only)
- DPS - Door Position switch available (storeroom only)
- DBM - Deadbolt Monitor switch available (on ML53 only)
- SLM - Solenoid Monitor switch available (storeroom only)
- SCM - Security Monitor switch available (storeroom only)
- CRU2 - Current Reduction Unit to improve solenoid life in
“continuously on” applications
- CRU2i - The intelligent CRU2: automatically detects DC input
voltage between 12 to 30 volts and converts it to operate
our 12V locks. Additionally, it adjusts the current to the
solenoid allowing the lockset to run cooler and last longer
without any manual adjustments.

Electrified Solenoid Models Available:
- ML80 - storeroom:
(fail safe/fail secure):
Outside lever locked (EL) or unlocked (EU) electronically. Latchbolt retracted
by key outside or lever inside. Switched power allows outside lever to retract
latchbolt. Inside lever is always free for immediate egress.
- ML82 - institutional:
(fail safe/fail secure):
Outside and inside levers simultaneously locked (EL) or unlocked (EU)
electronically. Latchbolt retracted by key on either side. Switched power
allows both levers to retract latchbolt.
- ML70 - classroom:
(fail safe/fail secure):
Outside lever locked (EL) or unlocked (EU) electronically. Latchbolt
retracted by lever on either side unless outside has been locked by key.
Switched power allows outside lever to retract latchbolt. Inside lever is
always free for immediate egress.
- ML480 - entry w/ deadbolt:
(fail safe/fail secure):
Outside lever locked (EL) or unlocked (EU) electronically. Latchbolt and
deadbolt retracted by key outside or lever inside. Switched power allows
outside lever to retract latchbolt and deadbolt. Inside lever is always free
for immediate egress.
- ML485 - privacy w/ deadbolt:
(fail secure):
Outside lever unlocked (EU) electronically. Latchbolt and deadbolt retracted
by key outside or lever inside. Switched power allows outside lever to retract
latchbolt unless deadbolt is thrown. Inside lever is always free for immediate
egress. Available in EU (electronically locked) function only.
Electrified Motorized Models Available:
- ML92-M - Storeroom:
(fail safe/fail secure):
Outside lever locked (EL) or unlocked (EU) electronically. Latchbolt retracted
by key outside or lever inside. Switched power allows outside lever to retract
latchbolt. Inside lever is always free for immediate egress.
- ML96-M - Institutional:
(fail safe/fail secure):
Outside and inside levers simultaneously locked (EL) or unlocked (EU)
electronically. Latchbolt retracted by key on either side. Switched power
allows both levers to retract latchbolt.
