Wall Type & Mounting (Exterior Wood Stud Wall with Veneer)

Designed for exterior wood stud framing with veneer façades (brick, stone, stucco, or architectural panels). Provide continuous structural backing at jambs and head (e.g., doubled king/jack studs and engineered header). Coordinate WRB, flashing, and sealants with the façade and threshold details to maintain envelope integrity.

• Anchor into studs/header with structural wood fasteners or lag screws (by installer)
• Shim at manufacturer-recommended points to maintain plumb, level, and square
• Seal perimeter with commercial-grade backer rod and sealant
• Verify smooth swing, latch engagement, and ADA approach clearances

Anchoring fasteners for wood stud walls are not included, allowing the installer to select diameter and length suited to stud species, sheathing thickness, and header design.
