Steel-Lite™ 96" x 80" Exterior Double Hollow Metal Door - LH Reverse Active Leaf, KD Drywall Frame

A compliance-first, USA-made door pair engineered for fast installation and inspection-ready performance. This 96" x 80" Steel-Lite™ double door features an LH Reverse active leaf,NFPA 80 fire-rated options, ADA & IBC alignment, and UL-listed hardware preps. Typical production: 3–4 weeks.

Pair Configuration

  • Active/Inactive: LH Reverse active leaf (locks & latches); inactive leaf prepped for flush bolts (surface or concealed, as specified).
  • Egress & swing: Configurable to project requirements while supporting ADA clear width and approach.
  • Hardware preps: Reinforcements for ANSI/BHMA Grade 1 hinges, mortise/cylindrical lock, closer, and strike; exit device and coordinator options available.

Door Construction

  • Skins: 18-gauge galvannealed steel, prime gray, paint-ready finish.
  • Core:Polystyrene insulated (standard) for rigidity and thermal performance.
  • Edges & seams: Interlocked, mechanically seamed edges with heavy backing plates at hardware locations.
  • Weatherability: Prepped to accept thresholds, sweeps, and perimeter weatherstripping.

KD Drywall Frame

  • Type: Knock-Down (KD) frame designed for drywall/stud construction.
  • Install: Ships in sections for easy handling; assembles quickly in the opening.
  • Anchorage: Compression and screw attachments for a rigid, plumb set.
