Tahoma SVR Exit Device Function
This exit device package functions as an exit only device. The exit device mounts to the exterior side of the storefront door. When the door is in the closed position the exit device is latched in the upper frame mounted strike and bottom strike hole in the threshold making the door is locked. Pedestrians can still exit at any time out of the building by pressing in the push pad of the exit device. The exit device features a dogging function, which is a hex key adjustment that allows the exit device to remain unlocked. Using the hex key that is provided, insert it inside the small hole on face of the push pad. Press in the push pad so the exit device is unlatched, and turn the hex key to hold the push pad in the compressed position. This dogging function is perfect for businesses during normal business hours. Then later in the day during closed business hours the exit device can be adjusted to return to it's normal exit only function.
