How To Order First Defense Kick Plates

Measure the width of the door. The kickplate ordered should be atleast 2 inches less than actual door width.

Kick Plate Types

First Defense kick plates are offered in three types of materials: stainless steel, aluminum, and plastic.

Stainless Steel Kick Plates

Stainless steel kick plates are heavy duty and very durable.

Aluminum Kick Plates

First Defense offers clear anodized (silver), black, and brass finished aluminum kick plates. Aluminum kick plates are also heavy duty and perfect for commercial or residential applications.

Plastic Kick Plates

First Defense offers black, brown, gray, beige or white plastic. Plastic kick plates are 1/8" thick and extremely durable.

Magnetic Mounting Option

This option allows you to add a magnetic backing to the kick plate, so that it can magnetically attach to a metal door. This option only works if your door is metal such as a hollow metal door. It is also important to note that only non-fire rated kick plates 12" tall or under are eligible for the magnetic mounting option.

Bevel Edges Option

Standard kick plates come with a square edge. This option allows you to add a bevel to all 4 sides of the kick plate. The bevel edge helps blend the kick plate into the door better visually and provides a more finished appearance. The bevel edge option is not available for plastic kick plates.
