Vision lites are available in non fire rated tempered clear glass, fire rated pyran glass, or fire rated wire glass.
Tempered GlassTempered glass is 1/2" thick and clear in color. It is a heat treated class and not fire rated. It has an STC rating of 31. Because it is tempered it breaks into small fragments.
Pyran GlassPyran glass is 3/16" thick and is clear with no wires. Features a heavy duty safety film and an STC rating of 31. It is fire rated and certified by UL to ANSI/UL9, ANSI/UL10B, ANSI/UL10C.
Wire GlassWire glass is 1/4" thick and features heavy duty impact rated safety film. It is constructed internally of steel wire mesh ideal for impact safety. It is also fire rated and certified by UL to ANSI/UL9, ANSI/UL10B, ANSI/UL10C.
